Hi Stacy,
Happy Thanksgiving to you, too! I've been wanting to send you a little
update.  Cash (a.k.a. Rafa) has been a true gift -- I honestly cannot picture
life before him anymore!  He's the best buddy I could have: extremely sweet,
sociable, and devoted  --- and oh so smart!
He's adjusted very well to New York City. He loves playtime in the park.
His instincts with other people and dogs are appropriate: neither mistrustful
nor gullible.  Most of all, though, he seems to love playtime in my apartment
with me.  (Who would have guessed - prefers the indoor playground!) I command
him up on the couch and then down, and he gets a kick out of it. Eskies have
such an instinct to please! He's a good little leaper! He knows sit, stay,
move back, stand on hind legs, paws up on my legs, leap onto something, and leap
down.  By the way, perhaps because of your training, he's also extremely
easy to care for. Brushing, bath time, tooth-brushing, nail clipping are all
enjoyable or at least bearable.
